I bought a MD802 after I had been advised that this tool will read my 1998 Saab 9-3.

After receiving the unit, I hooked it up to the OBD port and the MD802 lights up as it should. But when I go to 'Scan' and 'European' select Saab and the year of built, there is only Saab 9-5 displayed.

Now I wonder.. Is my Saab 9-3 covered by the MD802?

When I do an OBD scan, the MD802 scans all protocols and ends without results.

Also: can my device be authorised for Dutch (NL) language?

I have tried reading it with the 1998 9-5 option.

It gives an error at it. It's not very surprising I guess.. The VIN doesn't match a Saab 9-5, what the tool is looking for.

When I do a basic OBD scan, it scans all protocolls and returns with an error.

Personally I wonder what use there is to only partionally cover a brand.. why cover a 1998 9-5 but not the other models from that year and the same brand.. If it would have that coverage, the tool would be alot more valuable to its users..
